Paper Paintings

In 2007 I started a series of 3-D constructions on paper. I liked the idea of being more sculptural with my work but still presenting it on paper. I admired the YBA artist Chris Ofili greatly at the time, especially how he stuck large clumps of elephant dung to his canvases. This idea, of paintings not having to be flat, challenged me to apply the concept to my own work. I presented the paintings on custom built tables. The paintings are made using watercolor paper and acrylic. 92cm x 127cm framed.
