Liffeytown 17

On the Move!

On Friday things started to happen really quickly. I picked up the LEDs from GreenEarth Light in Clondalkin, next I sped across town to Crumlin to collect nine extremely heavy marine leisure batteries before finishing up at TCM controls for the long awaited time switches which had just arrived that morning after being delayed another day due to an air traffic control strike in France (of course!).

At Ger's studio in Ringsend, Owen (Oddy's son) and his mate arrived with their vans to transport the houses down the road to Ringsend yacht club. Two trips later and a lot of carrying back and forth and all ten houses are securely deposited at the yacht club ready for action on Sunday.

The original test house we built needs to travel on my roof-rack (can't remember why?). As we carry it out Andrew spots a telegraph wire full of swallows gathering for an African departure. As we drop the house on the car a rainbow appears above us perfectly framing the house against the Poolbeg towers.
