Jorge Pardo

There's an incredibly exciting show on at IMMA in Dublin at the moment by the Cuban/American artist, Jorge Pardo. He has covered every wall of several rooms with beautifully patterned, green, photo-mural wallpaper. A montage of all his architectural designs runs across the centre of the walls, interspersed with dated quirky headlines from the LA Times detailing everything from the Michael Jackson child abuse trial to Daryl Hannah's arrest for environmental activism. Pardo's layering of images and random information reminded me of my own work in "The Memory Laboratory'. The exhibition continues until May 2010.

I wrote a review of this show for the Dublin edition of 'lecool', an online magazine that is published every Thursday. You can read this review by clicking here.
